This is a great idea. In a similar vein, I have been thinking about the tax cuts that we are supposed to be getting now that the terrible trio are in charge. I intend to give whatever we receive in tax cuts straight to charities, especially ones that support communities/causes that are negatively impacted by the new government's policies. I hope that others that can afford to do this might consider doing the same.

Or you could support an animal welfare charity… I dunno, like Veterinarians for Animal Welfare Aotearoa 😉

(Totes agree re fighting hyperconsumerism… )

This hits 10/10 of my wishes and hopes for this Christmas this year. Well done Emily - bang on making your voice count... as always! Also great to be helping kids understand what privilege and rampant unconscious consumerism look like... I must admit to tiring of helping my son understand that those 'fun' youtube families are being paid to have all that fun, it's their job, and probably some days they don't want the camera in their face.... and imagine if the 'likes and subscribes' meant that they didn't get to have real experiences with their families, and they felt pressure to keep growing their audience.... uh-oh, sorry.... fell into a rant there! You get ma drift...! :)
