I heard you on RNZ today e hoa. You are doing such essential mahi. Saying thankyou for all you are doing seems a puny thing in the face of it all- but thankyou 🙏

Love you and I’m sorry for this fuck shithole. I didn’t enjoy the visual of the spot between the balls and the butthole, but the image of Winston stuck in a revolving door was a perfect palate cleanser, let them never steal your imagination where’s your Ko-fi link? Xxx

I hope enough people remember this pain during the 2026 General Election campaign so we can vote the 3-headed monster out of power. Keep doing what you're doing, Emily, as we'll need to amplify these stories then.

I hope people remember too - though it feels like it’ll just get worse so who knows how bad it will be by 2026.

I wish I couldn’t relate to so much of this 😥💔

Brilliant interview on RNZ this morning. Later I went to a meeting of some people not connected with disability issues and they had heard it and were shocked. They had no idea things were so bad.

I’m heartbroken reading this. Like others, I listened to this morning’s interview with Kathryn Ryan with growing anger at the way our disabled community is being treated. Thank you and Katy for your mahi in spelling out the reality. The icing on the cake was the Minister’s statement - completely in denial.

Thank you ❤️ yeah it was wild to hear her repeat the same tired lies.

Saw something today which says you can sue people for “loss of enjoyment of life”. It was meant as a joke & I have no idea if it even applies in NZ, but the Beehive would be a great place to start…… 💔

This is rapidly becoming the meanest government I have seen in my lifetime. $32 billion budgeted for roads along with the billions going back to landlords says money is not the issue here.

Greed of the few is killing life for the many. I felt nauseous reading today's brilliant post. Shared, please keep your kernel of hope going Emily x

This is gut wrenching. How do we get your story out to a much bigger audience, particularly those that voted in this arsehole of a government?

I don't know how you made me snicker in such a bleak article but you're definitely one of the good ones. Hoping for some much needed r&r for you and your whānau and a shitstorm for the landlords xxx

You & Katy were eloquent, compassionate voices for the sector, & it was an excellent interview. I hope it has awoken more people to the brutal realities being experienced by so many.

This is such a great piece - sad reflection of the harsh reality for the many while the few get richer and even greedier.
