Beautifully written. I too saw Barbie with my friends and a sold out audience largely dressed in pink. You absolutely nailed it, seeing that movie I felt Seen. And I didn’t realise why until you said it was written by women for women. I love that Margot Robbie saw an opportunity to make something special and that she tapped Greta Gerwig to bring it to life. And that the whole cast just threw themselves into it. And the last line was brilliant.
Going to Barbie at the Penthouse tomorrow as a fundraiser for our Playcentre. I'm going to dress as a 70s Ken (a fat one).
I tried the wig on yesterday and my 3 year old walked past, paused uncertainly and said "Mum?" Ha ha, yes it's me! He was relieved.
Sorry for all your losses. I have gone through life without many, but seems I am using the strategy of not getting close to many people to achieve that. Do not recommend.

I sobbed. The last 12 months has been emergency after emergency (with love and light in between). This morning I go back to hospital to help care for my dad because #systemisbroken. I think I need to see Barbie! I feel seen. Thankyou ❤️
