An amazing resource Emily! I am in awe of your capacity. Thank you for putting so many amazing resources in one place. This year has felt a bit hopeless.
Also, thank you for including Hutt Santas. We have 240 children nearly sorted with presents but need we are facing is unprecedented. Hope to open up nominations by caregivers soon. Have a Quiz this Sunday and a film fundraiser next Sunday with a present drive 🤞
Fat Swim this Friday night is freeeeeeeeeeee for everyone (well, fat babes of all genders and trans & enby/gnc babes of all sizes in unruly body solidarity) if you’re looking for a lovely community event, Pōneke!
And then after this weekend I will rest, regroup and start on my next big idea. Thank you for providing all these little ways to do some good
Thanks for all the amazing links and your uplifting words (as always). I clicked through to the Te Tiriti hikoi link. They have some great merch there and I’d like to buy some to wear on the day (already have a day’s annual leave booked) but …… as an incomer to Aotearoa I don’t want to wear something that will give offence to Māori I.e by wearing something I don’t have the right to wear. Do you have any thoughts? The first t-shirt looks great and a safe bet. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks Emily, I'm a bit of a grinch about Christmas, believing that it's over commercialised.
Couple of years ago I gave everyone trees that count $ for a native tree to be planted in the recipient's area. Will probably do it again this year. Just some time and $ spent on line, no wrapping paper and something I believe on.
Lean into your joy, whatever it is and know this community supports you all the way.
I've been planning on getting my daughter into a tradition of always donating a gift to another child in need every Christmas. Thanks for all of the wonderful links and suggestions of who we can support - think we might be off to buy and donate some books 📚
What a brilliant resource filled with info, created with compassion - thank you again for such mahi x
That's a generously stuffed Christmas stocking, thank you, Emily.
🕊 🙏 ❤️ 💚 🌱
Enjoy those Christmas decorations Emily and fuck any grinches! Thanks for the incredibly comprehensive resource - I’ll be sharing far and wide.
Amazing resource! Thank you so much!
