It might just be the pms hormones but I am in tears x how wonderful to be loved by a cat. It is one of my greatest hopes that one day it will be illegal to stop tenants from having pets and I can get another cat x I am so glad your family has Bruce x
I totally agree with you Jess and you Judy. It breaks my heart that anyone would stop a family from having a pet. It’s such an unnecessary display of power. I really hope you can have a cat ❤️
As Emily has so beautifully shown, companion animals are incredibly valuable, and the cruelty of refusing to allow people in rented accommodation to have them makes me deeply angry. When people will refuse a 'safe' home to keep their dog or cat with them, it shows how deep the mutual bond is.
(When Ham has taught Bruce how to use the cat door, can he give me some pointers? My girl Molly is a beautiful idiot who cannot work out how to use ours unless it is propped open with a peg 🙃)
I absolutely love this story - this has been an absolutely shit week and the thought of Bruce and Ham doing life together and teaching each other things has filled my tired, sore heart (and made me cry at work....)
Love this! We currently have a 14 year old ginger boy called Boo (our daughter was 7 when he arrived as a 7 week old kitten) who we've always been a bit scared of as he has an unforgiving temperament. I had forgotten about how completely not like him other cats can be 😊
Could this be any better? No, no it couldn’t. Absolutely love this. We have Teddy the fluffy dog my husband never wanted but who my 4 year old adores, he wants to use Teddys shampoo and have his hair cut the same. Who am I to
Wonderful. 'The thousand hands grabbing every thought' gave me a jolt. We got a dog and it helped our little ones so much. Thankyou for writing this.
Omg stop it. Tears. Beautiful 💚💚

I’m going to be honest, it’s slow going 😂😂
So beautiful, our feral nation boy is the same - wasn't what I thought I wanted, was everything my family needed :)
Yes!

I hope the week gets better Tania ❤️
Just beautiful. The world always needs stories like these, but right now more than ever. Thank you.

So beautiful. Thank you for bringing some beauty into my day with this lovely story
You thought black cats were magical, Emily? Clearly it is Bruce who knows alllll the magic. What a remarkable cat.
Ok so I’m crying now 😭.

Oh goodness. I should've known better than to read this at my desk...
