What a delightful, insightful and peaceful piece of writing. Thank you (and I'm so glad it was a good experience). Very much looking forward to the peace of mind my booster on the 25th will bring.
What a beautiful story of all the wonderful people who are thinking more of others, but also protecting themselves. We are so lucky to have free access to the vaccine and boosters. I am so pleased the booster was a positive experience for you.
Thank you. I noticed people smiling at my kids, even when they were playing up, when I got my booster last week I took them because school holidays, and because one of them is currently adverse to "getting those sharp things) after his 4yo vaccines 18 months ago. We are doing it as exposure, a way to make it normal, and he wasn't too adverse when I mentioned it was his time soon this evening. But yay for people and coming together to protect their communities
Love this! I got boosted yesterday and it was mostly just old white men in business shirts at my medical centre (lol). But then downstairs outside the pharmacy there was a more diverse group of people in a long queue. Everyone seemed calm and patient. Feeling v fortunate to have a booster and hoping others look forward to getting it as soon as they're eligible
I always love your writing Emily, but these last few pieces have really been so wonderful. They’ve made me cry! Thank you for this piece of writing. I’ll think of it as I get my booster this week and my 5 year old her first dose.
That's lovely. You got boosted in more ways than one! <3
Got my booster today too and was also heartened by the sight of the queue and the diversity of those in it ❤️

That was lovely to read Emily ❤
Bless you, Emily. We needed to know this. Truly worthwhile.
Beautifully written.
So good! Thanks for lifting my spirits this evening ❤️
This is so good, best thing I've read in ages. Thank you.
Sometimes the things you write remind that it is actually all going to be ok. Thank you and Aroha nui.
