I assume they don’t read the emails so I like to imagine that their minions read them and slowly get worn down by what they’re reading and what bad people they’re working for and eventually tell their horrible bosses that they’re quitting because they can’t be on the wrong side of history any more. So I write the emails for the minions 😆
Emails sent and submission done. I really appreciate that you bring this stuff to my attention. I had not heard of the Crimes (CFI) Amendment Bill until today.
Yes please, I'd like to donate to that account that will be split. I get stupid decision paralysis looking at all the people who need help, if someone else can do that part I will gladly throw money!
Done! Thank you Emily for putting so much effort into explaining the process & quotes / ideas to include in these submissions. I can only imagine how much work you put into these and it really is appreciated, although it must at times feel like a thankless task. So, again, thank you xxx
Donated and will email. I have sent many an email and tweet to Erica, Winston, and Christopher. Sometimes I get a reply. I found it appalling that there is never a journo at the rallies interviewing family of Palestinians and RNZ isn't so far away. I think the stories are not getting out re the non issuing of humanitarian visas and the lack of reasons why not. We must hold our elected members to account. I try and attend the rallies each Saturday (next one will be a march to Aotea Square I believe) and encourage everyone to buy a T-shirt, or a keffiyeh and get discussions going. Also email the CEO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bede Corey via enquiries@mfat.govt.nz.
Emails done, though since they don't have a scrap of humanity between the three of them it was probably a waste of time.
We write emails to express of OUR humanity, and to remind our government of their responsibility to uphold international law.
That is time well spent, I think. 🌏🏳🕊
Agree Sarah!!!
Giving up or thinking it's a waste of time is exactly what the people in power want!
Good on you Steph for still emailing, Respect!
Thankyou for writing that Sarah - I needed that kick up the arse. It was the push I needed after feeling a little hopeless about it.

This is another excellent reason to write
Thanks Emily for the prompt here but also your work on all things to do with “holding power to account”.

Emails done. Thanks a million, Emily, for the heads-up
