I like the concept - except I decided long ago to not buy presents for anyone I don't actually like, whether family or not. Even more passive-aggressive to get them nothing at all - shows exactly what you think of them
I actually do buy presents, but don't feel forced by Christmas/Birthdays/Significant Occasions; rather I get someone something when I see something I think they would like - or when my partner reminds me I haven't bought her anything nice for too long (I am lucky that she even tells me what she wants so I don't get her something she doesn't like!)
Love! Such good suggestions! I would also add Better the Blood by Michael Bennet, every pakeha should read this.
Have reserved to borrow from Ak Libraries. Bennett with 2 ts. Thanks.
Oops! Typo 🤦🏻♀️
AND I should have said, just get them a subscription to Emily Writes - that's what all of those "characters" actually would benefit from
Thank you! 😍

All great ideas. Also, gifts of UNICEF donations for things like chickens and goats.
Thank you for the glorious and informative list. Toy libraries are SUCH a treasure of this country.
They’re so great!
Hahaha. I mis-read the present for the rich man as a subscription to VANITY NZ.
😆
Such great ideas but if I don't like you, there's no way I'm spending my hard earned $ on you!!
