OMG how I wish this would set Bishop's and Luxon's ears on fire. Actual fire. I'm thinking, baked potato heads.

Great stuff Emily. Gawd, the thought of the coalition from hell (National-ACT) trashing most New Zealanders' lives even further is terrifying.

“And under a National government only a few renters will be hunted for sport”. I’m dying! 🤣🤣🤣

Ohhh you got me! I was surprised by the "headline" and then loved (well, is it love when it's a crushingly accurate article...?) what I read! Thanks for the start of the term joy!

I think this might be the best thing you’ve written! Laughing so much.... but also my heart is breaking that this is being proposed as a policy. Hoping for a miracle at the election so National/Act don’t win 🤞🏻

Me n the other half have been trying to think of some way you could discourage multiple property ownership without the costs just being passed straight on to tenants and it not doing a thing to discourage empire building.

I reckon if your rental doesn't pass Healthy Homes standards, there should be rent limits imposed. Like, if it's not properly insulated, you can't charge more than $x because your tenants will be having to pay more to heat the place.

I really enjoyed the flaming warmth from your sarcasm, thanks for such a funny/horrible 'interview'! I am trying not to have a panic attack about National and Act winning the election and doing irreparable damage - I think back to Ruth Richardson cutting benefits and the beginning of the long slide into lifelong poverty for so many people. She managed to kick off a whole new NZ version of meningitis and a resurgence in rheumatic fever, who knows what the next lot could do :(

Hahahahahahahahaha!! The scary thing is that some people (cough, cough, National Party) may not realise this is humorous!!!

Ffs. I have been in hospital and I thought this was satire like an onion article. Gosh, I thought, Emily is branching out with her writing into the absurd. A few belly laughs later and then find out it’s a real actual policy. Wtf??? Livid.
